Like Nehemiah, W. Jeffrey Campbell has a great concern for his people and the fact that many of them are living their lives with burned down walls. Upon hearing and seeing the plight of his people, Pastor Campbell wept, mourned, fasted and prayed as a result, God called him to be the founding pastor of Fresh Start Church, the first open and affirming church led by an African-American pastor in Houston, TX.
Currently on sabbatical from official pastoral leadership, Pastor Campbell serves as Director of Prevention Services Development at St. Hope Foundation, an 8 year old non-profit organization in Houston, TX. As the fastest growing AIDS service organization in Houston, St. Hope Foundation provides primary health care to people living with HIV; including testing and prevention intervention programs targeting African American men, women and youth. Pastor Campbell gives leadership to a program that targets young African American same-gender loving men with HIV prevention education and serves as a liason to many African American men who are living with HIV and need assistance accessing medical care.
Pastor Campbell was consecrated Minister of Health and Wholeness at The Fellowship Conference in 2006 in response to his desire for individuals to overcome the pains of their past and experience complete wholeness in their day-to-day lives.
Currently single, Pastor Campbell is a member of Brentwood Baptist Church in Houston, TX where he serves as a member of the Music Staff and The Men's Ministry Steering Committee. |
